When a chapter of the National Lawyers Guild (NLG) promotes itself as being “part of Antifa,” you know the battle lines are drawn. The NLG of San Francisco has plainly stated that all who resist President Trump are now part of Antifa, and for good measure.
In an op-ed for the San Francisco Chronicle, the NLG declared, “We are all antifa.” Little hesitation was made despite the violence which is perpetrated by this terrorist organization on a weekly basis. The NLG is fine with the violence. In fact, they say more violence is probably necessary:
This campaign to recast antifa as a violent, leftist suppression of speech is a dangerous effort eerily reminiscent of the left-baiting that accompanied the Nazi rise to power.
The National Lawyers Guild won’t stand by as fascists and white supremacists seek to take power in the streets and halls of government. We stand in solidarity with all who fight hatred. We will continue to show up, to defend activists who challenge fascism, and we call on all people of conscience to do the same.
Here’s the problem with that. You have even some liberal politician who want to classify Antifa as a “gang” for the reasons of law enforcement. The NLG is a terribly progressive organization, and they don’t seem concerned that they’re condoning violence in the name of speech suppression. For them, the ends justify the means, and if a few people get their heads bashed in here and there, so be it. They must continue pushing the cause of socialism by way of violence, which is the only way socialism is ever implemented around the world.
Here’s video which chronicles much of the violence perpetrated by Antifa in the name of socialism and speech suppression:
WARNING: Some of this is hard to watch
So when the San Francisco chapter of an organization such as the National Lawyers Guild signs on to this violence, it should ring alarm bells with every American who values our way of life. This is not America, this is not the way Americans solve problems and advance our goals. President Trump is leading to unite the country toward American exceptionalism, not violence and hatred, as displayed by Antifa.
